Brad Keselowski’s crew chief Paul Wolfe made a gutsy call, keeping the No. 2 Penske Ford out on the track when virtually all of the other leaders pitted on lap 217 in Sunday’s Kobalt 400 from las Vegas Motor Speedway & the result was career victory Number 18..

 

Keselowski streaked by teammate Joey Logano on lap 259 & then got by hometown favorite Kyle Busch 3 laps later for the win..Logano moved past Busch to make it a Penske 1-2 finish while Jimmie Johnson edged Busch for 3rd with austin Dillon rounding out the top five…

 

Keselowski praised the lower downforce aerodynamic package  in place for 2016 as being a key to the win..

 

In other action from the desert, Kyle Busch broke a personal 11 race drought at his home track, dominating Saturday’s  Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300, leading 199 of 200 laps for his second straight series win & 78th of his career…
