The loss of Dan Wheldon is much deeper then simply saying it’s a part of the sport and so every driver accepts the risk..I interviewed Dan three years ago and he immediately impressed me with his infectious enthusiasm and the fact that he actually seemed to be inetrested in talking to Bill and I.

His love of the sport, his integrity in a world of diminishing integrity in sports in general, and his history of caring for causes and being a role model for youth, will be greatly missed, perhaps as much as the extraordinary talent that he was! JW
