Outdoor Adventure Report

Coburn Mountain, Maine Snowmobiling

Northern Outdoors The Forks Maine

We received a fair amount of rain Friday and through the night. Water has pooled in a number of low spots. We had planned on grooming tonight (Saturday), but will have to cancel that. We need to wait until the water drains off and things freeze up solid. Otherwise the groomers will just make a mess of things. At this point we plan to groom next on Monday.

We have received an inch or so of sleet, so lubrication shouldn’t be a problem when things freeze up. Will have a trail update Monday evening.

The Kennebec River Trail is closed as of this morning, due to flooding.

For day riders, there is a FREE PARK & RIDE LOT at Northern Outdoors on Route 201. The lot is large, well plowed and has plenty of room for trailers. Groomed access to all trails. The lot is marked with a large sign on Route 201. Trail maps, 91 octane gas, food are available at Northern Outdoors.
