Motor Sports Update

And some reflections on the Great American Race weekend…starting with one of our own, Austin Theriault, who couldn’t have had a better start to what most assuredly will be a successful career at the highest levels of Nascar with a 4th place finish in his Camping World Truck debut at Daytona in the No. 29 for Keselowski Racing..

Chad Knaus can’t understand why Nascar didn’t respond to his request for clarification when the No. 48 team was penalizd for  it’s crew going over the wall too soon during a pit stop on lap 87. As a result both Knaus and Johnson were unaware what went wrong through the rest of the race, meaning they could have made the same  mistake again..

New Crew Chief in Greg Ives…new over the wall pit crew…not a bad start with a 3rd place finish for junior but he said he had the fastest car out there on Sunday and a mistake on the re-start with 19 laps remaining may have cost him a second consecutive 500 win…
